ABFs (Sunday Bible Classes)

What are ABFs?

Adult Bible Fellowships

Adult: They are groups of people wanting to grow in their personal lives and to connect with others in the congregation.
Bible: They focus on the teaching and application of the Word of God to daily living in today’s culture.
Fellowship: They also focus on relationships, while equipping people for service and sharing their faith.

Adult Bible Fellowships are groups for study and fellowship, organized around the Sunday morning adult Bible study hour, often called Sunday School.
Our desire is to equip people to lead others to Christ and coach them to live for Him with purpose and abandon.

First-Hour Summer Electives (meet at 9 a.m.) Lititz Campus

Bereans - Led by Mike Lutz & Matt Weaver in Fellowship Hall. All ages are welcome to join us as we look closely into the Word of God. Beginning September 10, 2017, we will study The Progressive Revelation of God, which considers God's unfolding revelation of Himself and His sovereign plan for humanity. This study addresses questions such as, “Does God exist? How did the world begin? Where did we come from and why are we here? Why all the suffering? Where is it all heading? Is there eternal life? How can we find lasting satisfaction? Does it really pay to serve the Lord? Is God really in control?”

Horizons - Led by Bob White in Room 321 (Art Room). We begin the year with a breakfast carry-in kick-off September 10, 2017; the following week we will begin to focus on fellowship. It is a word frequently used in church, but often our understanding and practice of fellowship are shallow and stripped of the life-giving, life-transforming power God intended community to have. Jesus lived out and taught a deeper, more radical kind of fellowship. This six-week series called "Connecting in Christ Together" focuses on the five biblical purposes that make up a high-impact Christian life: fellowship, discipleship, ministry, evangelism, and worship.

Trek - This is a class for the Young Adults at Grace Church. They meet at 9 am in the Library for lessons that are applicable for today's young adults. They also meet every first and third Sunday for food, fellowship and topical discussion at 6:30 pm at 134 Pleasant View Dr., Lititz, PA 17543. Like "Trek at Grace" on Facebook for updates.

Second Hour Summer Electives (meet at 10:45 a.m.) Lititz Campus

Encouragers – Taught by Pastor Andy and a few others, chaired by Royce Wingert, the Encouragers meet in Room 323 from September 10, 2017 through May 2018. We seek to be a community of believers in Jesus more than a class. We study the Bible together and through discussion we work at applying the truth of the Bible to our lives. Most of us are in middle age, but we are open to all age groups. We sometimes choose books of the Bible as a point of focus or center our thoughts on relevant Christian life topics. We’d love to have you join us!

Enterprise - Led by Linford Youndt and Ron Moore; meets in the Fellowship Hall all throughout the year; a group predominately ages 50+. We start with prayer requests and prayer, and focus on detailed Bible Study. We’ll begin the book of Judges in September. The Bible tells us that during the time in ancient history when the nation of Israel was ruled by a series of judges, “everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” Sounds somewhat like our own day, doesn’t it? Join with us as we study the fascinating events and learn how God dealt with His people during that time. All are welcome!

Navigators – Taught by Chet Halstead (retired pastor and former Dean of Students at Lancaster Bible College) and chaired by Clyde Martin, the Navigators meet in Room 317 from September 17, 2017 through May 2018. Navigators are a group of seniors who have walked with Jesus for several years. Monthly social times are enjoyed by the class. The year will begin with insights from the life of David, and beginning in October will discuss Interim Pastor Tim Boal’s sermons on the church.

Seekers - Led by Pastor Whitie Willard and Roger Trump; meets in Room 305 from September 10, 2017 through June 2018. The Seekers are a class of adults that enjoy fellowship, Bible study, application and discussion on a wide range of Biblical topics. All ages are welcome! Our first 4-lesson study will answer the question, “Why In The World?” Why would God leave the comfort and recognition of Heaven to live on this ball of dirt we call earth, in a time before morphine and indoor plumbing; when the best of conditions barely paralleled the worst of modern-day conditions? We think we know why He died. But what compelled Him to live as one of us? Come join us for the answers.
